h3. When your backyard is surrounded by a forest it makes perfect sense to get a little higher then ground level and enjoy the view of the trees from a multilevel deck.
Creating a deck for every time of day was important to this Halifax family: cooking, dining, entertaining, and relaxing by a fire were on the “must-have” list. Easy access to the backyard and storage under the upper level of the deck were added bonuses that the design team at Archadeck added in.
The right material for this application was pressure-treated. It blends seamlessly into the background and provides a natural look. A combination of glass and pressure-treated railings are used around the upper level of the deck to maximize the view of the backyard.
An outdoor kitchen is important for any serious griller to have. All of the necessities are at your fingertips without many countless trips to the indoor kitchen. The Sydney Yellow stone veneer accents the Napoleon inserts and Sandstone countertop beautifully. A built-in herb planter gives you access to fresh herbs every time you light up the grill.
To save on space, a built-in pressure-treated bench was installed around the perimeter of the lower level deck which provides ample seating around the fire pit.
